2. General information on data processing
Protecting your personal data matters to us. We process your data only on the basis of the applicable provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). Personal data means any information that can be used to identify you personally.
3. Data collected when you visit this website
Whenever you visit this website, information transmitted by your browser is automatically recorded in server log files. This includes:
- IP address
- Date and time of the request
- Browser type and version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
This data is collected for technical reasons to ensure the stable and secure operation of the website. It is not combined with other data sources. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests).
4. Contacting us
If you contact us using the contact form, by email or by phone, we store your details to process your enquiry and respond to any follow-up questions. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken prior to entering into a contract).
We use Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc., USA) to send internal notifications from our forms. Form details are transmitted to this service and delivered to our Google Workspace mailbox. Information about data processing is available from Resend and Google Workspace. These services may process data outside the EU. Their data processing terms include provisions on international data transfers, including standard contractual clauses.
Research publications and email updates
When you sign up for our research updates, we process your name and email address to address you personally and send you publications about social media and industries. Providing a company name is optional and helps us select relevant topics. We also record which publication you requested. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. We ask you to confirm by email before adding you to the ongoing mailing list.
The website sends your subscription request to our Google Workspace mailbox via Resend. This includes your details and requested publication, the consent text displayed with its version number, and the time of the request. Our team selects and sends the publications manually. Political opinions are not inferred automatically. Resend is not used as a newsletter mailing list.
You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future by replying to our emails or contacting info@yoovo-solutions.com. You will then receive no further research updates. We use your details for sending updates until you withdraw consent, and then delete them unless statutory retention requirements or necessary records prevent this. The rights listed in section 11 also apply to this data.
5. Job applications
If you apply to us by email, we process the information and documents you send only to conduct the recruitment process and decide whether to enter into an employment relationship. The legal basis is section 26(1), sentence 1 BDSG in conjunction with Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Only people directly involved in the selection process can access your application. We do not disclose it to third parties unless required by law or necessary for the recruitment process. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling.
If no employment relationship results, we delete your application data no later than six months after the recruitment process ends, unless legal obligations or claims require longer retention. If we would like to keep your application for a future vacancy, we will first ask for your separate, voluntary consent. If you join us, we transfer the information required for employment to your personnel file.
6. Cookies
This website uses only technically necessary cookies required for its operation. Cookies are small text files stored locally on your device. You can configure your browser to reject cookies, although this may limit the website's functionality.
When you choose a language using DE/EN, we store your choice in the “yoovo-language” cookie for up to one year. It contains only “de” or “en” and is not used for advertising or tracking. Without a saved choice, the homepage uses your browser’s preferred language. Your IP address is not used to choose the language.
7. SSL and TLS encryption
This website uses SSL or TLS encryption for security. You can recognise an encrypted connection when the browser's address bar changes from 'http://' to 'https://'. When encryption is active, third parties cannot read the data you send us in transit.
8. Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. Vercel processes the technically necessary data on our behalf, in particular the server log data listed in section 3, to deliver the website. Transfers of data to the USA are safeguarded by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. A data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR is in place with Vercel. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in operating a stable and secure website).
9. Web analytics
This website uses Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly web analytics service provided by Vercel Inc. Audience measurement works without cookies: no cookies are set and no cross-device profiles are created. Only aggregated, anonymised usage data is collected, such as pages visited, approximate region of origin and device type. Individual visitors cannot be identified. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
10. Fonts
The fonts used on this website are served locally from our server. Loading a page does not establish connections to third-party servers, such as Google Fonts, and therefore does not transmit personal data to third parties for this purpose.
11. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you (Article 15 GDPR)
- Have inaccurate data corrected (Article 16 GDPR)
- Have your data erased (Article 17 GDPR)

12. Retention periods
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry or to meet statutory retention requirements. The data is then deleted.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in legal requirements or our services. The version current at the time of your next visit will apply.
